Questions & Answers
1. Why use a custom
ceremony?
A. The most important part of
a wedding is not only the couple
being married but as important
are the vows they make to one
another.
2. How do you decide
what to include in the ceremony?
A. After the couple fills out
the questionnaire and speaks
to me, I am then able to compose
a custom ceremony that will
reflect each couple's unique
individuality and commonality.
3. What does this service
cost?
A. Well it is on package selection
basis. I offer basic standard
ceremonies all the way up to
an elaborate and extremely detailed
custom wedding for your very
special day.
4. How many ceremonies
have you performed and/or written?
A. Too many to list here but
believe me, if you look under
the recommendation tab, you
will see the many couples who
I've married and/or prepared
custom wedding vows and ceremonies
for.
5. What do you offer
beside wedding vows/ceremonies?
A. In the State of Florida,
I am able to actually perform
the ceremony anywhere a bride
and groom choose. Anywhere from
a beach-side ceremony, in home
ceremonies, on a boat, basically
anywhere the bride and groom
want their custom ceremony to
take place I can marry them.
B. I also can provide the items
necessary for a Sand Ceremony,
Water Ceremony, Unity Candle
Ceremony, etc.
C. As important, I offer the
confidence of a professional
service, I offer the bride and
groom the time to focus on other
wedding planning that needs
to be done as their custom ceremony
is guaranteed ready at least
1 to 2 weeks from their application
and payment of same.
D. In addition, I provide links
or contact information of highly
professionals who I've worked
with and can testify to the
fact that they too provide only
top quality services so I recommend
them here on my site.
6. What is a sand ceremony?
A. A sand ceremony is a symbolic
ceremony that may include not
only the bride and groom but
also any children the couple
may have. It is a symbolic joining
of colored sand into a beautiful
container which will be used
to reflect on their union the
rest of their lives.
7. What is a water ceremony?
A. Like the sand ceremony this
is an outwardly symbolic ceremony
that includes not only the bride
and groom but may also include
any children the couple has.
It is a joining of colored waters
joining into a sealable bottle
that will bring forth a long
lasting symbol of the couple's
becoming 1.
8. What is a unity candle
ceremony?
A. Not unlike the sand and water
ceremony, this too is an outwardly
symbolic ceremony that requires
the bride and groom to each
light an individual candle and
then taking their individual
candle and lighting one larger
and more beautiful candle which
symbolizes the joining of 2
lives into 1.
The cost of a Florida marriage
license is $93.50. Residents
of Florida may attend a premarital
course from a registered provider,
or waiting three days, as
Florida law requires. A directory
of premarital course providers
is available at all court
locations. If a certificate
of completion is provided
at the time of application,
you will receive a cost reduction
of $32.50 and the three day
waiting period will be waived.
If one applicant is a Florida
resident and the other is
not, they may both attend
the course to receive the
full benefit. If only the
Florida resident attends the
course, the three-day waiting
period will still be required.
You do not have to be a resident
of Florida to apply for a
marriage license; however,
both parties must be present
when applying. One of the
following forms of identification
is required for each party
to obtain a marriage license:
- Driver's license issued
in the United States;
- Federal or state identification
card; or Passport showing
your name and date of birth.
- Birth certificates or green
cards are not acceptable.
- A blood test is not required.
If parties were previously
married, the manner in which
the last marriage ended and
the exact date the marriage
ended are required. Copies
of the death certificate or
Final Decree of Divorce, Dissolution
or Annulment are not required.
Applicants age 16 or 17 are
required to provide when either
are within this age bracket:
Minor's birth certificate
showing parent's name. A parental
consent form may be obtained
at the time of the application.
Both parents must be present
with their own identification
on hand. The exception will
be if the parents are divorced
and one parent has full custody
of the minor. In this case,
proof of custody must be presented
and only the consent of the
custodial parent will be required
in writing.
Applicants under 16 years
of age: Minors who, under
oath, swear that they are
the parents or expected parents
of a child may apply for a
marriage license. If they
are already parents, the child's
birth certificate must be
presented. Otherwise, the
pregnancy must be verified
by a written statement from
a licensed physician.
A previously married minor
may apply without the need
for parental consent.
